Who is Adam?

Adam is the AI at the centre of ConstructLogic. He's a contract reader with deep South African construction knowledge, working the way an experienced contract administrator or QS would: reading your actual agreement, watching your time bars, drafting notices with the right clause citations, and building the evidence trail before you need it. Adam will tell you what a clause says only where we can trace it to a source document or to the contract you uploaded. Where he can't, he'll say so plainly rather than guess. Adam isn't a registered professional and doesn't replace one; every draft is meant for your review, not blind reliance.

What is a project?

A project maps to one construction contract — for example, a JBCC Principal Building Agreement for a specific development. Standard tier supports up to 5 simultaneous projects, Pro up to 35, and Expert is unlimited.

What is an AI credit?

An AI credit is spent every time you use Adam's intelligence. A simple chat message costs about 1 credit, and deeper analysis (like Deep Think or entitlement checks) costs more. Standard includes 300 credits a month, Pro 3,000, and Expert 8,000. That's comfortably enough for daily use at every tier. Need more? You can request a top-up any time from Settings.

What modules are included?

All modules are live. Contract Administration (including Drawings & Blueprints and Letters of Intent) on all tiers. Commercial & Closure and Cost Control — Client and Contractor (including AI-coded bills, vendor POs, subcontractor performance tracking, and work orders) on Pro and Expert. Programme & Project Management, Project Recovery, and Final Accounts on Expert.

Can I use ConstructLogic before I sign a contract?

Yes. Contract Review and Qualifications both work standalone, and neither needs a project first. Upload the contract you were sent and Adam flags the risks, tells you what's still blank and needs completing before you can sign, and answers questions about that specific document in chat. Ready to sign? One click turns the review into a full project. On the other side of the table, draft your Qualifications, the exclusions and commercial terms you attach to your own tender or quote, before you've even submitted it.

How is the delay analysis actually calculated?

Not by guesswork. You lock a versioned programme baseline, log a delay event against a specific activity, and Adam runs a Time Impact Analysis. He re-runs the critical path with and without the delay to calculate the real day-for-day impact. Where two delay events overlap, a dominant-cause concurrency test (aligned to the SCL Delay & Disruption Protocol) determines which one actually drives the critical path, instead of a flat 50/50 split. The result exports as a Delay Claim Report. That report is available on the Expert tier.

What is the Lifetime rate?

The Lifetime rate is a fixed monthly price for charter members. You pay the same amount every month, permanently. There are no inflation increases and no tier renegotiations. Only 50 slots exist across all tiers. Once taken, that rate is yours for the life of your subscription.

Can I upgrade my tier later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time. If you're on the Lifetime rate, you move to your new tier's own Lifetime price — the same fixed rate anyone locking in that tier today would pay, not your old tier's rate carried over. Downgrading follows standard subscription terms.

Which contract forms does Adam support?

Adam works from YOUR contract wherever you upload it, including bespoke, amended, and direct-works forms. He tells you exactly where yours differs from the standard form. Where you haven't uploaded one, Adam falls back to the published standard form and says so explicitly. Our clause data is verified against the source documents we hold: JBCC Principal Building Agreement Edition 6.2, JBCC Minor Works and Direct Contract Edition 1.0, the FIDIC 1999 suite, and NEC3 (Option B). FIDIC 2017 and NEC4 are each verified against a leading published commentary rather than the contract text itself. FIDIC 2017 is checked against a commentary by a member of its drafting task group, and NEC4 against Eggleston's NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract commentary. South African law applies.

Can more than one person from my office use ConstructLogic?

Yes. Every plan includes 1 seat, and you can add teammates from Settings → Team for R299 (Standard), R699 (Pro), or R1,499 (Expert) per additional seat per month. Everyone on the team shares the same AI credit pool. Teammates are Owner, Admin, or Member — members handle day-to-day work, while deleting a project, approving a BOQ or variation, and billing changes are reserved for owners/admins.
